I do not believe so, I have had 870 chambers and mossberg chambers gum up from plastic residue.

My fix is to buy a tapered chamber brush on a shot handle from brownells, use a solvent such as carb cleaner to melt the plastic. Scrub the chamber with the chamber brush, and mop clean.

This usually fixes the problem.

You may have a ruff chamber, it can be polished if necessary.
