Very nice ( but as said, ouch on the price). Why so expensive there?

If you're going to reload, be careful....

The load data from the source I used (Sierra, for the 175 SMK) lists an OAL that's from a different 7.5 x 55 chambering....

How confusing is that

One would normally surmise that chamber dimensions for any given caliber are the same (withing tolerances, natch). Otherwise, give it another name for cripe's sake...

My son could barely close the bolt on the handloads I made. After a few rounds, I told him to bench the gun until I had a chance to check it out back on the bench at home.

The published OAL had me jamming the bullet into the lands by a full 1/4 INCH. I have no idea how the few rounds he shot were as accurate as they were, but the action was stout enough (thankfully) to handle what must have been insane pressures...A modified case for the bullet comparator gave me the correct length later...

Happy shooting! They're great rifles, like a Swiss Watch...

Seeing those pics makes me want to buy another for myself...
