You're only likely to have problems with your M19 if you feed it a steady diet of full-power .357 Magnum ammo loaded with lightweight (<140gr) bullets. If you restrict its diet to .38 Special ammo or .357 Magnum ammo loaded with heavier bullets, you'll probably be passing the gun on to your children and grandchildren.
