I get the same kind of in reverse. When I got my 10mm the guy in the LGS said "What do you need that for" another guy said"why in the world would you get a cannon?
The same was said when I bought a 500 S&W.
If it makes sense to you why your buying the caliber that you choose then who cares what anyone else thinks?
