I've had to shoot enough geese twice with steel BBB loads to believe there's way better choices for defense, Dave.

BBB steel is inferior to old lead 2s, and very inferior to Hevishot 2s, my Goose load of choice these days.

I do not know your use environment, but for defense 00 is hardly ever a bad choice.
