+1 if you're used to draw, point, & shoot. Stick to it. Adding a safety to disengage can be a big deal if you're not used to it.

If you are shooting 9mm currently there really is no need to change calibers, just choose a premium defense load from a major manufacturer with a modern bullet design.

+1 easier to shoot, carries more rounds, you're used to it. Marginal differences in handgun calibers with modern hollow points.
