I went hunting four times before I finally took a nice cow elk. Didn't see anything but cows during prior rifle seasons and then finally went to CO for black powder and cashed in. Also saw about a dozen nice bulls that time, but no tag.

Just being in the Mountains is a good time. I walked within a 100 yards of a Mt Lion by accident and didn't have a camera, I was happy it took off.

I actually hunted off Carter Mt myself. We stayed at the hotel in Kremmling, CO. Seems like it was area 82???
