My Para GI Expert has been very good -- except with the factory magazines. Lots of failures to return to battery. With 2 Kimber mags, none of those issues.

I think it's a great gun. My only other 1911 was a Springfield GI, and it's comparable to that, with several upgrades such as lowered ejection port and much better sights.

I'd recommend it.
