Get it posted (with pictures) on the 1911forum.com USGI section is a very, very good idea. It sounds like it is a ordnance room put together with mixed part from different 1911's(not uncommon to find). The marks you list are correct for the military 1911 but the Colt slide is not the issue slide to a Ithaca FJA marked frame. The FJA is from Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood who inspected 1911a1's at Remington-Rand and Ithaca arms during WW2. You will need some real hard core 1911 collectors to help you out with exactly what it is and how much it is worth.
