It would be nice to have a shop near by that carried both. Nothing like a hands on side by side. I have handled the Ruger in a shop, now have to find a Marlin. Maybe my local gun shop will order both with the understanding I will buy one...
That said, I think the detachable mag will make the difference for me. Thanks for all who replied to my post. I was afraid I would get some "Here we go again" remarks. (aka flames)!
