Any 150 grain projectile out of a .30-06 is more than adequate for hog hunting.

Yes, hogs have thicker skin than deer - but they are not armor plated by any stretch. I've killed pigs with a .22 magnum at 75 yards, so you don't need something that has massive penetration just because it's a hog.
