I think contacts are way better than glasses. I don't worry about wearing them in the cold, -40, my eyes water so much in the cold dry air that the tears freeze on my eyelashes, thats about all.

With contacts you have all of your periferal vision. After wearing glasses and then switching to contacts, big difference.
