I went trout fishing with my dad and a few friends saturday morning. I caught 2 brown trout over legal size (and one under, released and 1 legal rainbow trout.
Noon opened Wisconsins Duck season, we loaded up and I was elected to walk the ditchbanks looking while my dad and Hal posted around the corner.

I jumped at least 4 wood ducks and 2 blue wing teal, shot 1 woodie (my first duck!)
and watch the rest fly off. (by the time my first one hit the ground the others were gone, I wonder why?)

Later Hal jumped a woodie that I hit and it ran under the bank. Hal had hip waders so he went into ditch to look for duck. BLAM BLAM his second shot neatly beheaded the duck.

So our total for 4 fisherman saturday morning was 11 trout (2 rainbow 9 brown),

3 duck hunters who took 2 woodies, my dad took 1 blue winged teal along with his two woodies and Hal took 2 blue wing teal with his woodies.

Trout make excellent grill fare. !

Ahh, so much fun. I cannot understand why anyone would want to stop people who enjoy this from doing it. It was a lot of work, so I understand that not everyone will do it,
but I really had a good day. And now I have shared it with you. Even better.
