I agree that cross-checks are usually a good thing, but as a new reloader, my confusion level actually went way UP after I started accumulating multiple loading manuals. Like the saying goes, "A man with two wristwatches never really knows what time it is." I've lost track of how many times the starting load from one manual was above the maximum load listed in another manual, for the same components.

With enough recipes to choose from, I could usually figure out which was the "odd man out" and disregard it, but I'll admit that my confusion led me to ask for help more than once, even with a variety of manuals at my disposal.
