Talk to some guys at your local range....a lot of us have a variety of revolvers....and you might find someone that will help you out /let her put a few rounds thru their guns ...so she can decide what she wants.
A revolver a lot of young shooters in my family like / is the K frame S&W in .357 mag in a 4" ....like a model 19 or 66 ....they're affordable / and if you shoot .38's in them, they're very easy to shoot and to control.
