The Pursuit of Perfection

About five years ago I needed a good revolver to use in National compention.
Everything had to be perfect. I bought a Pietta and sent it to Rob Lewis of
Ohio for the work. Rob is a Master shooter at Friendship. This is the result.
I won the 50 yd. match last year. I was 66 at the time. The barrel is a true
.36 cal. Groove dia. is .355. 1-16 twist. The chamber dia. is .357. I use a
.360 round ball. So the ball is .002 larger than the groove of the barrel and
is .003 larger than the chambers of the cylinder. The chambers are sleeved
as this was a 44 cylinder. It has a internal trigger adjustment. Trigger is about
10 ozs. with no over travel. Final cost 172 for the gun 400 for the work. Oh
the chambers were line bored. Load 17 grs Goex FFF. This pistol will shoot
1 inch groups at 50 yds from a Ranson Rest. What more could you want for
under 600 dollars.
