Warriors don't have to act stupidly to be a warrior. The case Gabe discusses where the warrior starts a fight that ends with the family members killed is case in point.
Mas has another (might be the same one) of an officer, off duty, who intervenes, thinks his kid is safe and in the melee, the BG sees the kid and kills her.
The warrior class in WWI were certainly geniuses. Charge the machine guns.
