+1 get a .357 cylinder and have it rechambered. Had it done for a friend many times. Also, very occasionally a .44-40 owner will have a convertible/spare .44 Special they have no use for. Keep your eye out/post WTB in the Classifieds. The former you could conceivably have a new re-chambered cylinder in your hands within a few weeks. The latter you might wait months for.
