My favorite powder is IMR 3031. It works very well in .30-06 with bullets weighing 150 grains and less. My best .308 groups ever were shot with IMR 3031. IMR 3031 is also a great .223 powder: My CZ 527 makes the the bullet holes touch at 100 yards when using 25 grains of 3031, a CCI primer, an LC case and a 55 grain Remington PSP bullet.
