Starline is making commercial brass. I believe it is 145$ for 500 pieces (if memory serves). Hornady, speer and seirra manuals list appropriate loads. I talked to the seirra 800 number and they were quite helpful with all of the details on loads and loading. You can order the dies and forming dies from midway if you want them for your collection.

By the way, there are several companies in california which carry automag parts. Seems the cocking piece is the usual failure point from what I have read.

I can give you no first hand experience. My 44AMP is a pasedena version, MD180 and is unfired in the original shipping box. I bought it now 12 years ago to shoot, but I when I was told it was unfired I did not have the heart to shoot it. One of these days I will buy a "shooter" and have at it, but until then I just collect information.
