That's yet another reason I like Brenneke slugs. Attached wad stays with the slug. One shot one hole.
I've seen shotgun wads put big dents in plywood target backers. I'd just as soon my loved ones not be dented in the noggin. I suppose it could be fatal if it went through the eye or nasal cavity.
