.358/.416 Wildcat
Ok. I restarted this as a new post because I wanted opinions on a different aspect of the project. As earlier stated I want to take the original .416 Rigby case, neck down to .358, shorten neck to .300, push shoulder forward and increase shoulder angle to 40 degrees, and minimize case taper. My question is on pressure issues. Will the Rigby case withstand the high pressures caused by some of the modern powders, maybe H1000? Or would it be pointless the increase case capacity due to the low pressure rating of the original case. The pressure max is 47,137 psi. Any thoughts appreciated.
