The two indoor ranges I shoot at regularly (one in Houston and one in Humble) both charge $15.00 / hour (+ tax). That price includes one target of your choice.
I would dearly love to find some place outdoors that is not too far where I could go shoot for free.
You used to be able to drive up to Sam Houston national forest and shoot there but I heard that the rangers put a stop to that because of all the junk that people were leaving behind.
