From a newbie to a newbee...

I have only been reloading for about two years now, but I'll tell you what I know.

Single Stage Press: Only one shell in the press at a time and only one die in the press at a time. Workflow is do each step to a bunch of rounds. Eventually they are all done.

Turret Press: Only one shell in the press at a time but several (3-5) dies in the press. Workflow is pull the handle for one step, rotate to next die, rinse, repreat. Finish an entire cartrige before going to the next one.

Progressive Press: As many shells in the press as die-stations, as many dies in the press as a turret press. Workflow is each pull of the handle; every die station is doing something with a cartridge. Every pull of the handle a completed round falls out (after you have the assembly line moving).

Hope this helps!
