My Fiance got me a .22 conversion kit for my AR for Christmas last year, but I've been noticing that the accuracy is pretty sad especially compared to the Ruger 10/22 I got her.

Understanding that the conversion kit's accuracy is not it's strong suit, I'd like to get a setup that is comparable to the 10/22. I've noticed that the dedicated .22 uppers for the CR are as much if not more than a brand new 10/22. I'm curious if there's any decided advantage to the .22 upper over just another .22 rifle.
