With no direct experience with either 1911, based on my experience with both of their other products I'd buy the Ruger.
Ruger makes great products and stands behind them. Taurus and their lifetime warranty, yeah, they can take a lifetime to fix your gun if you have issues.
In my experience, Ruger is worth the extra cash.
