Thanks for the compliment on the gun.
I call this my "Speed Grip" frontstrap treatment, I started doing it back about 1997 when my hands started giving out on doing checkering.
I always liked 20LPI checkering, that's what I used on a lot of my guns.
After coming up with the ideal on doing the "Speed Grip" I actually prefer it over checkering.
It gives an excellent griping surface, every bit as good as checkering, but it's not as abrasive to the users hands or clothing.
