In the military they were with conicals. Civialians if they used anything used OBL. Robert E. Lee's 51 Navy was fired 7 years after his death and it was noted the chambers had a waxy substance on top of the balls. BTW all six chambers fired. Guess ol Marse Robert didn't believe in load five.
