I like that the M&P series is available just like a Glock - zero extraneous safety features, no mag safety, no manual safety, no physical LCI, but also available with those options if you want them.

If you do want all the safety options, I'd consider the two pistols basically the same with the slight edge to the M&P for having acquitted itself well in a service context.
