No experience with lead bullets in a Glock

But in a P7, any bullet with exposed lead facing the powder (and, surprise! this includes some sold as "FMJ") will experience lead vaporisation due to the burning powder.

This molten lead has to go somewhere. Some of it will end up in the gas piston/gas port area, and soon, the slide will stop cycling (ask me how I know).

My P7s were fairly picky about ammo, mostly due to the above.

Note: I only have one now. That is not an indictment of the P7.
