The trigger on my $400 Filipino slag gun 1911 is better than any DA/SA gun at any price: It is more consistant, shorter, breaks cleaner, and has a shorter reset than ANY other design.
If you are new to pistols, avoid learning on a 1911, as that trigger will ruin you for just about everything else.
