Tom, that is a NICE stand! Looks as good or better than anything I have seen commercially. I've been loading on the gun the traditional way for years and I agree with you and just like the idea of saving the wear and tear on my built in loading rams.
SmokinJoe, I've never shot one of the colt clones before but I may look into one of the open tops someday soon...an 1860 with a 5 1/2 in barrel comes to mind. I've got a job coming up next month that should give me some mad money...
