peep sights dont fail like glass and batteries do...learn to use all that you have for your AR. I personnaly do not recomend shooting steel ever cause it is hard on parts and usualy nasty powder which is bad for that really long gas tube you have. Get a good stock of cleaning gear like patches and brushes. slings are like pants. if they do not fit right they dont fit. squeezing into a sling that you dont like or is uncmfotrable will get annoying fast. my suggestion find a friend in the military and try all of his then decide.
