We got an almost identical revolver (more finish wear though) for my grandfather a few years ago. My grandfather, for many years, was opposed to handguns but had slowly come around to the point of wanting a revolver (he's still not comfortable with a semi-auto). Now, he finds the High Standard to be the most frequently used gun he owns and prefers it for dispatching pests around his farm (opossums, skunks, raccoons, etc.).
