Your description does not explain/describe, to a reasonable person, why you felt in fear of your life.
(edited to add - This is not a judgment of wether or not you were in danger, just that from your description I can't tell.)
Exiting the vehicle seems unwise.
The intent of the other driver could cover a range from wanting to yell, to criminal attack.
