I tried a lot of different powders in my .270WSM. Most of the cyber gurus (at other sites) recommended RL 19 for 130 grain bullets in the .270WSM.
I found RL 22 to be better with 130s in my gun (Win. Mod. 70 Coyote). This is a gun I use for hunting big game, so I have been working only with hunting bullets. I have been getting best groups with 130s, using Nosler Partitions.
With 140s, I have been getting best results from my gun with H4831SC and Hornady SPBT.

But,,, this is simply the case for my gun.
Our range is at 4000'...which may be a factor, too.

I got some good info off the internet. There a lot of load tests at these sites:

www.realguns.com
www.reloadersnest.com

and some good general info at: www.stevespages.com then look for "reloading".
