I'm a newbe to hand loading, and I'm trying to figure out what the best bullet for my Makarov would be. I don't really know much about the different types of hollow points, and I'm hoping you guys could enlighten me. There are 3 that I'm currently looking at:

1: Seirra 95 gr JHP
2: Speer Gold dot 90 Gr JHP
3: Hornaday 95 gr JHP

I'm leaning toward the hornadys, but thats only cause I think they look like they would expand the most, but thats just based on looks and my own poor judgment. I'm not sure what to think of the gold dots because they are lighter, but I'm not sure if the difference between 90 and 95 is enought to make it worth worrying about. What do you guys think? Should there be something on my list thats missing? If not, what JHP of these 3 would you use and why?

Oh, and in case it makes a difference, my hand loaded Mak ammo averages about 940 FPS, I think. I wrote down the exact vel. somewhere but I don't feel like looking for it at the moment (geeting sleepy and want to get to bed very soon). I'm using 3.0 grains of Red Dot powder.
