The AK is certainly not in the same league as a SOCOM.

But I have to ask, why ditch the AK for the SKS? I own both and I don't think I would ditch an AK for an SKS. My AKs are as reliable as my SKS, are as accurate, hold more ammunition, are more compact, lighter, etc.

Not trying to start a real debate here, but I am truly curious why someone would give up an AK for an SKS.
