Rifled slugs should never be fired from a rifled barrel !!! The "rifling" on a rifled slug has nothing to do with rotating the slug ! It was added so that people who insisted in using a slug in a full choke barrel wouldn't damage the barrel !
Sabot slugs are for rifled barrels or for smoothbore with rifled choke.
