I have a Beretta 92FS in Inox that has some very tiny rust colored specs on the slide/frame. The specs are tiny. I tried using some Hoppes#9 on them and they didn't come off.

In all fairness, it has been a while since I cleaned this gun. It has sat in its plastic box for several months now.

Could my 92FS be rusting? If so, what is the best product technique to remove the rust?
