The Trooper Mark V was later changed to stainless steel and fitted with a full lug barrel and sold as the King Cobra.

Its possibly the strongest medium framed DA revolver of all time, including the S&W 686 and the Ruger GP-100.
It was designed for unlimited use with the .357.

The only "watch out" is to use snap caps for dry firing.
The firing pin "can" break if dry fired and replacement requires a trip back to Colt for replacement due to the need for a special press to press the firing pin out and another in without damaging the frame.

Because of the case hardened parts, the only trigger job possible is a light weight spring kit....NO polishing of parts.
