I've owned a Marlin 39D (long since discontinued carbine version of the 39A) since 1970, and I've used it to take down a crow at 100yds.

As for the CZ, I personaly thing they're junk and would never own one. If you decide to go that route, you're on your own.

Fine firearms cost some fine money, but in the long run, they're worth it.
