Hi,
I have been using the Hornady SST's for a while for hunting and have never had a problem.
BTW, here in South Africa many hunters using the 30-06 in thick bush favour the 200 -220Gr round-nose bullets.
Apparently they are less succeptible to deflection from hitting a twig.
(Spitzer bullets are said to have a tendency to deflent more in similar circumastances)
Please note, we are talking about twigs, not anything thicker than that.
