CZ wasn't able to import to the US until not that long ago, so SIG had a major head start on CZ. As far as being "internet guns," not really - CZ variants are among the most popular in the rest of the world, and get used quite a bit in international competiton.
In response to sigarms228, the P01 has no external safety, it has a decocker. If that is a bad thing, in your book, then you need to quit endorsing your SIG P22x series....
