i have shot both ruger lcr in 22lr and 22mag back to back. really love them both. they shot point to aim at 10-15 ft. smooth ejection with a firm tap on ejector rod. i didnt use the new 22mag p.d. ammo but didnt find that muzzle flash was excessive, tho was more than the 22lr. my g.f. on her first range trip would only shoot the 22lr twice. i only wish that the lcr 22mag came in 7, not 6 round cylinders. i would also love to see a lcr 327mag. without getting into the stopping power debate, in the end if i could only have one i would take the 22lr, 8 rounds of even a lighter round are bound to defuse any emergent situation but you certainly wont go wrong with either one, its a tough choice. you can get a speed loader for the 22lr but not the 22mag yet. both 22lr and 22mag were $450ish.
