The pistol I was refering to was a late 19th century design using standard brass cartridges of the day. Its been many years since I ran across photos and description of this experimental pistol so I can't remember who made it.

That design shared only a little with your design, and is so little known yours is pretty much unique.
I did run across a recent patent for semi auto conversion for single action revolver several years ago, but it had no ejection or magazine features.
That design used a gas tube and piston with rod running through a hollow cylinder pin to cock the hammer. Not sure what he used as a disconnect.
