Le sigh. This thread makes me sad. I think the Glock 19 is just about the perfect size and capacity around. But the last two I owned kept beaning me in the face with brass, especially my Gen 4. I think it's somewhat aggravated by the fact that my cross-eye dominance forces me to hold the pistol at a bit of an angle, but it still only happens with Glocks. If it works for you it's probably a quintessential firearm.
Edit: The Gen 4 texture was almost worth the beaning. Idk why, but I love that texture and the small reduction in grip size really made a difference for me.
Know the status of your weapon
Keep your muzzle oriented so that no one will be hurt if the firearm discharges
Keep your finger off the trigger until you have an adequate sight picture
Maintain situational awareness
