I have a .41 magnum Ruger Blackhawk with a 4 5/8" barrel. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
For the Range I use a 215gr SWC Cast bullet loaded with 15.5 gr of IMR 4227 powder. This pretty much is a tack driver at 25 yards.
For hunting, I load up 210gr HP/XTP bullets with 21.3gr of H110 powder.
One heck of a pistol and it won't break the bank buying it.
I have two 44 magnums. A S&W 29-2 with a 4" barrel, and a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7 1/2" barrel.
I still take the old 41 magnum out deer hunting most days. It's just one reliable, fine shooting pistol.
