In a free society, there is never a
good reason for having a law. Laws are a necessary evil to place checks on certain behaviors deemed offensive or harmful by society.
Passing laws to fix a virtually nonexistent problem might
feel like a
good idea, but the net effect is a loss of liberty to folks who didn't need the law to be responsible in the first place.
