Hodgdon shows several .44mag loads up to 1300 fps with a cast bullet. These are tested using a 8-3/8" barrel, but the faster powders, particularly Titegroup, shouldn't be reduced that much by the shorter barrel. I would definitely make sure I have a strong gun before going anywhere near 10.0 grains of Titegroup, and work up slowly. 8.0 grains makes a good mid-range plinking load under a 225 gr. cast bullet from my 6" 629.

Only a chronograph will tell you for sure what velocity you are getting from your gun.
